If you are interested in joining Civitan, this is what you should expect:
- Twice monthly meetings for 10 months of each year
- A lunch meeting featuring a speaker from an organization in need on the first Wednesday of each month. An evening business meeting on the third Wednesday. Each member pays his/her own meal costs and we currently meet near the University of Findlay Dining Hall.
- Dues are $66 per year
- The first year also has a one-time $17 initiation fee.
- Participation in any or all of the events listed in this brochure
- We encourage participation wherever possible but realize that some have limiting schedules.
- Committee involvement for necessary planning
- At least two social events each year
- A Christmas party and a summer picnic.
- Awards and recognition
- Support of the Civitan International Research Center
- The center investigates cures for developmental diseases. Civitan candy boxes are in businesses throughout the community and proceeds are principally dedicated to the center.
- Camaraderie
- With a great group of folks who are willing to work hard in order to help others, and to have a good time in the process.
- A warm, pleasant feeling in the center of your body
- That comes from knowing that you are helping the most deserving of your fellow citizens.

Civitan is an extremely effective service organization serving the needs of the community. We would be proud to
consider you for membership if you want to help us make a positive difference in Findlay and Hancock County.
